FAQ
Here you will find an overview of the most frequently asked questions from our customers about this product.
No, the device is battery-powered. In ATEX Zone 1 environments, external DC power sockets or external cable feedthroughs pose a significant ignition risk (sparking, static electricity, and impairment of intrinsic safety). The sealed IP68 housing with internal battery power is an essential requirement for ATEX certification.
No, the device is not designed as a disposable product – the internal ATEX-certified battery can be easily replaced by qualified technicians.
With a sampling interval of 15 minutes, energy consumption is not linear. The device records the pulses locally every 15 minutes and uses data batching to ensure efficient transmission over the LoRaWAN network. Under favorable radio conditions (SF7–SF9), transmitting data at intervals of 15 to 30 minutes enables the device to operate for 5 to more than 8 years.
No, the cable is not included in the delivery and must be purchased separately.
