Hybrid Modbus Gateway ext. Power 230V Lobaro

The Lobaro Hybrid Gateway (external power supply, 230 V) is an easy-to-use, energy- and cost-efficient device for the reliable data acquisition and transmission of industrial systems.

The gateway reads data from any number of Modbus-compatible devices via RS-485 (Modbus ASCII/RTU), stores it temporarily and transmits it securely to the internet.

It supports communication with Modbus slave devices via NB-IoT, LTE Cat M1, LoRaWAN or LAN. Modbus commands can be sent to the gateway via downlink and then forwarded to the connected devices. The responses are transmitted to the IoT platform via uplink.

The device can also be configured to perform regular automatic queries and transmit the results on a scheduled basis.

All standard Modbus register types are supported:

• Coil
• Discrete Input
• Input Register
• Holding Register

Write access to coil and holding registers is also possible. Multiple Modbus slaves with different configurations can be addressed individually at the same time via a single gateway. Read intervals and register definitions can be flexibly adjusted.

An integrated scheduler controls the entire operation of the gateway and executes tasks sequentially. After each transmission, uplink data is sent and the system is then checked for incoming downlinks. Downlink Modbus commands are currently supported for LoRaWAN®.

A daily status uplink ensures that the device remains accessible at least once every 24 hours for remote configuration and monitoring.
