The FM432ir is a professional IoT sensor designed to monitor electricity consumption at 1- or 15-minute intervals (depending on the configuration). It is installed directly on the existing main electricity meter and enables reliable remote reading without any intervention in the existing infrastructure. The system consists of an optical read head for the meter and a separate wireless unit, including batteries.
The sensor is specifically designed to read data via the infrared communication port of modern electricity meters using the SML protocol, but also works with traditional Ferraris electromechanical meters. The data is transmitted via LoRaWAN networks, enabling regular recording and analysis of the power curve.
The measurement data can either be decoded directly in the defined payload format or processed via a Fludia server and subsequently retrieved via API. Thanks to its simple installation, the sensor is ideal for retrofitting and is particularly suitable for the remote monitoring of small and medium-sized buildings in the field of smart metering and energy analysis.

- After the first three years, it is possible to switch to a fully autonomous mode (i.e. bypass the Fludia data acquisition server).
