The robust backplate from MClimate for Vicki is a highly durable accessory designed specifically for Vicki, making it ideal for high-traffic public areas or frequently used rooms.
The robust backplate outperformed seven other commercially available radiator thermostats in static load and impact resistance tests conducted according to CHARPY/IZOD ISO 179/180 and EN standards. Through careful material selection and enhanced mechanical reinforcement, the durability of the design has been significantly improved.
Performance improvement: The robust backplate provides substantially increased mechanical strength, withstanding up to eight times higher impact mass and at least twice the static force compared to the original plastic backplate.
Design improvement: Both the selected materials and the mechanical reinforcements (metal inserts) contribute to the enhanced performance.
External validation: The static load and impact resistance tests were conducted by the Technical University of Sofia in comparison with commercially available thermostats.
